Consultation on Salisbury Station Forecourt Remodelling

Using the £9.4 million of Central Government funding through the Future High Streets Fund earmarked to develop several projects in Salisbury City Centre (current Fisherton Street project is one of those) Wiltshire Council intends now starting the next project, Station Forecourt, on 7th May.

This scheme involves redesigning the station forecourt making it more attractive and accessible for visitors and residents.

Ahead of these works, a ‘Meet the Contractor’ event has been arranged for Tuesday 16 April 2024 in the empty retail unit in the booking hall at Salisbury Railway Station. You can join anytime between 2pm and 7pm to meet the team, see the latest plans and find out how the Station Forecourt works could affect you.

Victoria and Albert Pub

A local businessman and future resident of the village wishes to acquire and improve the V&A to ensure its future as a popular pub and village asset.

The Parish Council is keen to see the pub operating again and is therefore supportive of any effort to buy the pub and re-establish it as a going concern.

Before we get publicly behind this, we want to check with everyone in the parish to see if there are any concerns.

Please would you email me us to let know of any worries that you would have at the prospect of the pub reopening, or indeed, why you are supportive of the pub reopening.

Discussion re Pub

At the next Parish Council Meeting one of the items to be discussed is residents views on a proposed bid to acquire the pub.

As ever, all residents are very welcome to attend PC meetings, but we wanted to alert everyone to this discussion item in particular given the levels of interest.
